Manager of Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting
YOUR MISSION: The Manager of Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting and compliance activities. This position is responsible for leading core accounting functions including consolidations, technical accounting, equity administration, SOX controls, tax compliance, and external reporting. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable operating across both strategic and tactical levels.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Preparation of the Company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial results, including consolidation and eliminating entries in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Assist with the design, review, and maintenance of the Company’s internal control environment and SOX compliance requirements.
- Administration and reconciliation of the Company’s stock and equity plans, including coordination with the Company’s stock transfer agent for the issuance of stock and the granting of awards under the Company’s equity plan.
- Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards and prepare technical accounting memos to support conclusions and implementation.
- Preparation of recurring bank borrowing base calculations, compliance certificates, and other bank information requests.
- Coordination and review of all federal and state income tax and other operational tax calculations and returns.
- Support the management of the Company’s insurance program, providing information for annual renewals and supporting insurance requests and audits.
- Support equity and debt financing activities, including due diligence and preparation of pro forma financials.
- Support annual external audits and quarterly reviews.
- Assist with cash forecasting and treasury administration.
WHO YOU ARE:
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- CPA preferred
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
- Public accounting experience, with a focus on public company reporting
- 2+ years of experience with the design, implementation and maintenance and review of SOX controls
- 3+ years of experience with technical accounting research
Preferred Experience:
- Mix of public accounting (Big 4 or large firm) and corporate industry experience preferred
- Experience with income and sales tax administration and coordination preferred
- Experience with preparation, review and filing of SEC requirements preferred
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with SEC reporting software (e.g., ActiveDisclosure, Workiva, etc.) is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
THE NITTY GRITTY:
- Location = Great news! This position is remote and you have the option of working from anywhere in the U.S.!
- Manager = You’ll report to Corporate Controller
- Compensation = The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
